I stayed for two nights and enjoyed the hotel's charming character and helpful staff, making it easy to feel at home before venturing out to explore the beautiful sights like the fine Duomo, just a 10-minute walk away, and the peaceful Fortezza di Santa Barbara which is perfect for a relaxing stroll after sightseeing.

The room was a nice size and extremely pleasant with a breathtaking view of garden.

Large room, big bed and quiet in the evenings.

I loved the spacious and modern rooms, and the breakfast was good! be aware of the lack of an elevator, which can be a hassle.

Here's my take on it

From the warm, helpful staff to its prime location just minutes from key sights, this hotel delivers charm and comfort. Breakfast was good with an array of options.

Good central location, easy access to local bus network and short walk to the main tourist areas. Rooms were beautifully clean, spacious and well decorated. First rate bathroom and shower facilities.

No tea/coffee making facilities and limited service out of 'bar' hours. No lift which was difficult with an elderly relative. Air conditioning wasn't switched on as it was early in the season but it would have avoided opening the windows and letting in traffic noise.

Very well located for sightseeing in Siena by foot. Lovely restaurant with exellent food and service.
